World Knit in Public Day

dannvictoria's picture

I have learned that Saturday June 14th is Knit in Public day. Victoria is celebrating by having a knit in at City Hall from 1pm to 4pm. What are other people doing? Google Knit in Public Day to find out what is happening in your area.

Happy Knitting

Official Description:
Saturday, June 14th is WORLD WIDE KNIT IN PUBLIC DAY - If you live in Victoria, come down to lawns City Hall (big red building at the corner of Douglass and Pandora, or as I think of it, one block down hill from the Beehive yarn shop) any time between 1 and 4pm. Bring your knitting, show off your yarn, and share with the world what a wonderful activity knitting is. Bring a lawn chair, some water, and your knitting.

We had 53 people turn up to

We had 53 people turn up to WKIP day in Sydney. The weather was cold, wet and windy, and very nice to be inside a cafe looking out on it.

There are SO MANY WWKiP

There are SO MANY WWKiP events in and around the Chicagoland area... including events downtown Chicago at Millenium Park, in beautiful Geneva, IL and even ON the Metra trains today!

I have elected to spend my day in Sock Boot Camp! Prairie Arts & Fibers in Grayslake, IL is having a day long event devoted to learning how to knit socks. Since that is on my "To Do" list... this was a perfect fit.
