Jedward led me to a site called Yarnover where I found this pattern. I used #6 cotton made here in Mexico and 3.25mm needles. It was a fun and fast project. Looking forward to trying some of the other patterns.
Find any local patterns for Mantillas down there??
Those would be a challenging knit!
I have never seen knitted lace here. It is always done in crochet.
Ron, that looks beautiful. Could it be expanded to make a shawl?
I imagine it could. I rather liked it this size since it was so fast to knit up.
it would be VERY easy to form a second round of the points; which would bring it up to about 135 100 rows; with some sort of edgeing, either knit around or knit on, "shawl" would be very reachable. - I's suggest fingering/sock weight on US 7 - 9 depending your personal gauge.
MMario - ambiguity is cultivated, it doesn't happen in a vacuum!
Beware - Yarnover.comm can lead to uncontrolled lace knitting addiction.
I know from experience.
It's true. I've knit the following pattern well over a year ago but haven't blocked it yet.
Stor Lysedug Doily
Maybe I'll get it blocked this summer. (Along with my QAL #3, Mario.)
Did I say a word? (Lately?)
Just don't give up on me!
That is really beautiful. I have a round table that would look great on. I have to go find the pattern. Nice work.
Very cool. I'm going hunting for the pattern now.
