Hey how are you? I noticed this doily in the picture on the main page and I wondered who did it and then I sat down to look at your blog and 'there it is'. I was going to write because you seemed to be from Alabama or had been there recently and I wanted to say hello to you. I have only done one doily in the past and it was a lot of fun. Both are based on the public domain Swirl leaf doily.

i done it with size 8

i done it with size 8 needles and medium worsted yarn............ it took me over 3 months to finish the project...... I'd start and stop on it b/c of my company business................ i had a wonderful time doing it

Hey! It worked! YEAH!!!!!

and it looks really good.

This is a doubled adaptation - to both make the design larger and to be blocked square. I think (hindsight is always so much clearer) that maybe it needed to have another round of the rib and diamond around the entire design to set it off and make it easier to block square - but - WELL DONE!
