boy - colour me "dumb".

a four stitch repeat. four stitches. and I graphed it wrong.

Then didn't catch it when I proofed the file.

dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.

attached corrected Faux Spanish pattern.

i guess being self critical makes knitting good, but there might be a limit, MMario. breathe with me, now. that's it. one more and all is right with the world ;) you do great work is design and execution.

Don't worry - I usually lean

Don't worry - I usually lean too far the other way; but this truly was a stupid move -and I can't even blame my eyes because the whole pattern is in something like 18 point type!

Beside which - I'm looking for a good excuse to go drown my sorrows in a pint of Ben and Jerry's

But when you figure it out - I had 4 errors out of 25 - a 16% error rate.

I knit my FSL from the written directions post here at MWK, and it seemed fine, so the error was only for the graphed charts?

It's one of the most

It's one of the most difficult things to find your own typos. Whenever I write a pattern, I have at least 2 other people review it and/or knit it before I distribute widely.

My mind is amazingly quick at inserting missing stitches or instructions.

*grin* and that's why MMarioKKnits was created. It really helps to have a bunch of other eyes and brain cells going over things.
Now if I could stop coming up with new ideas for patterns.....

I finished this shawl

I finished this shawl mid-month using the written directions. Now that you mention this, I do remember looking over the chart and being confused. I thought I was just bad at reading charts and there was something I was missing. _____________________________

There are four or five people I know of that have knit the shawl using that pattern - which is why I thought it was fine!
