inside this pattern http://www.elann.com/ShowFreePattern.asp?Id=151024 there is a stitch i have to do and it say make one using stand between 2 stitch

I would highly recommend

I would highly recommend watching the video or having someone show you how to do a M1. Like others have said, it's not hard, but the direction you knit into the strand below is critical to how much of a hole there will be below it (or not, if done correctly).

There is a video of how to do this at knittinghelp.com (love that site!). It's referred to as a "M1L" or "Make One Left", in their idiosyncratic labeling of increases, but it's really easy to do.

You pick up the strand of

You pick up the strand of yarn that goes from one stitch to the next on the previous row(round). It's also important that you knit through the back of this stitch.

yes...pick up the strand between two stitches...and use that loop as a stitch to knit into...
