Has anyone worked out a pattern for a scarf based on the Koolhaus Hat? I showed my completed Koolhaus Hat to the owner of my LYS, and she said I should try to make a scarf to match. Thoughts, anyone?
I think if you follow the same pattern you might be ok, but You will have to fuss around a little with rows 7 and 8 of the pattern - they're offset a stitch. That may be fine if you're ok with a pattern that's "moves" (the hat pattern does that to prevent an obvious "end" between the rows)... if not, maybe a creative edge might help.
In theory (because I've never seen the pattern) You could cast on the same stitches as for the hat and work as directed for the body. When you come to the crown decreases, don't do them just keeping repeating the body minus the ribbing if there is any until the scarf is as long as you like. Then bind off and you're done. Doing it this way will also make it look pretty on both sides.

Remember also that you are working back and forth rather than in the round. Makes a difference.

Very good idea! Though maybe could also go ahead and start with the brim, then end with the brim in reverse.
