
sometimes you still manage to get something useful out of it.
I've revamped what I want from the is pattern several times in the knitting of this prototype - so it will go out into the mail to a friend in need of hugs and I will start the new prototype with a more clear idea of what I want from the pattern.
But this doesn't look too shabby either.

I really like this MMario. You always do such great work! What was the stitch pattern you did outside of the center? From the picture it looks as if the gauge has changed, but I'm certain that's not it.

The filling stitch outside
The filling stitch outside the center is a disaster! It switches from one to another at just about the points of the star design - then I experimented with multiple ways of increasing.
MMario - ambiguity is cultivated, it doesn't happen in a vacuum!
