After seeing Asbjorn's wonderful work on the Liesel scarf, I decided to try my hand at it. It took me 14 days to finish it, and I learned my attention span is about 12 days. I finished it up this evening. This one is merino wool. Well really it's about 99.8% merino wool and 0.2% Boston Terrier.
Overall I'm happy with it. I think I will give it to a classmate.

My knitting usually has a bit of white, grey or black fur from one cat or orange fur from the other.

Yay, a Liesel scarf. This pattern is near and dear to me and yours looks great. I really like the pristine white. I also love the 0.2% Boston Terrier. I usually work with a Lab mix and the occasional black cat.

What a beautiful scarf. Is there a free pattern for this floating around? Or is it in a book? I have never done lace work before. But, it looks like this scarf could be enough inspiration to try it. Oh, and I agree it looks wonderful in natural white.

It is free and a link has been posted. This was my first lace project. It's pretty easy to work, but it's challenging enough to keep you interested for a while. I was amazed at home much I had to stretch it in blocking though to get it to look the way I wanted it to.

If she doesn't exhibit
If she doesn't exhibit appropriate gratitude behaviours (groveling, squeeing and offers to bear children) you are perfectly justified in strangling the poor creature. And you'll have a handy scarf with which to perform the grisly task.
P.S. Be sure to wear gloves.
