The good news is that I'm FLYING through the first sleeve on my father's long unfinished sweater ( modified drop shoulder (shaped sleeve cap) Kaffee Fasset inspired random stripe sweater... The bad news is...well those with delicate sensibilities might not want to read this next part...I've had to do much of it while sitting on the throne. I picked up a bad stomach bug over Easter, and now I'm on the eat nothing, drink broth, and "this too shall pass every half hour" diet... I wash my hands before I pick up the knitting (I have a small loo) and of course I will rewash the sweater before giving it to Pop. Tacky, definately, Productive, absolutely....

:D wow, just when I needed
:D wow, just when I needed a smile during a rough day...your story gave me a giggle. The funny part is that last month when I had the stomach flu, I thought about the same thing, but thought that the BF would think I was totally wacked. At least now if it ever comes up I can tell him I am not the only one. Boy between queerJoe agreeing to be my chauffeur, knowing that I can knit on the throne....I should be able to pump out alot of crap (no pun intended) Now, I wonder how difficult it would be to knit in the bath....no wools of course :D
i knew, or think you were
i knew, or think you were joking about knitting in bath (although the more i think about it...) i tried knitting in costa rica and the humidity was a real challenge. i seem to remember my grandmother using some powder to keep her hands dry in the summer, but i don't rely too heavily on such old memory these days :)
yeah...I was just joking,
yeah...I was just joking, but it would be nice!! I figure if they can have underwater basket weaving, why not underwater knitting :D

now THAT's what I call multi-tasking!
I hope you feel better soon!
if things get considerably violent, you might want to toss a towel over your lap or something to lessen the amount of potential splatter (eek)

I don't know how you mount the throne, but I assure you, there is no danger of splashing or splatter. LOL ewwwwww.

Funnily enough, I don't get a picture (thankfully), but I do imagine I hear the "noise" !!!!

Most of the noise is the rumbling of my tummy...I've not heard gut sounds like these except on a horse...
FYI: I do so love that picture of you...
At least something
At least something productive is happening. I had a bout with something last month and all I could do was writhe in pain.

Sometimes it is hard to find
Sometimes it is hard to find enough excuses to step away from the drudgery of daily life and one's responsibilities and knit. I commend you on your successful dedication to the art! Knit On, Brother!!
