Well, my very first felted project is completed, my submission for the 100 Bowls of Compassion Auction.
I'm attaching before felting and after felting pictures.
I made the bowl with Lion Brand wool for felting in a watery colorway and started with 100 stitches. Not wanting to knit a standard bowl shape, I instead searched for hat patterns and finally decided to knit the Triceratops Hat from ravelry. The best part was, I just got to knit and didn't have to worry about decreases.
By the way, for those who have asked about this, I felted this in my front loading washer and dried it on the sweater rack in my dryer.

That looks great! So your front loader worked too. I love the fact that the top of hat worked out as perfect legs for the bowl to sit on. What a great idea!! Thanks for the pre- and post-felted pics. I hope we all get to see the various bowls that are created for this project!
