I just had to show this off because I've been wanting to learn how to do this stitch for awhile now. Well tonight I finally made myself sit down and figure it out. This is the briotch stitch. I call it the bitch stitch because that's just what it was to learn... a bitch! lol..... I think the hardest thing for me to figure out was how to do the yarn over but once I figured that out I was knitting this stitch almost as fast as I can knit a 2x2 rib.
As you can see I attempted to do the two-tone briotch stitch but it didn't come out like it's supposed to and I'm not even sure if binded off correctly when I finished this swatch.... but I don't care. I'm just happy that I've learned something new.

That stitch makes very beautiful sweaters and scarfs but it takes a lot of yarn, as you probably know. It's one of my favorits but I find it a bit difficult to calculate the number of stitches as the sweater becomes so much wider from ribbing the cuff to the actual sweater.
