Palindrome Scarf

I've been working on this scarf off and on since December. I've been holed up in a hotel room for the past week sick with a nasty case of the flu so it gave me a chance to finish it up. The grey color is very hard to photograph and this is about the best image I could get of the thing.

It wouldn't have been so bad if I had been able to knit the whole time but except for the past two days I was too sick to even knit. I mostly just slept.

The palindrome scarf is a reversible cable pattern, so the name does reference the pattern!

I really like that color,

I really like that color, actually. The pattern's a bit hard to make out, but I like the name. Palindrome is something that's the same forwards as it is backwards, so I'd love a look at the pattern to see just why it's called that.

Of course, it could be like that "mermaid" scarf I knitted that had absolutely nothing to do with mermaids....

Yeah the grey shows the pattern really well in person but simply won't photograph properly. A closeup looks even worse. But then I'm no professional photographer either LOL.

It's called a Palindrome scarf because the cables show on both sides instead of just one side. It makes for a nice reversible cabled scarf that is quite thick. The pattern is Silver's and can be found here : http://www.cometosilver.com/patterns/index.htm

Try getting the light to shine on it at an angle... so the shadows show the cables off.
