Above the garter stitch border is a pattern called Hurdle Stitch which is 2 rows of garter and 2 rows of k1 p1 ribbing alternated. To add a little variety I staggered the ribbing every other pattern section.
I think I see garter stitch at the bottom, but what is the stitch above? As far as photos and St. Vinnie, when I attempt photography I appeal to St. Jude (insider Catholic joke).
