I did it!--fought through the anxiety and fear to finish my first sweater. It's truly a great sense of accomplishment! The yarn is Lion Brand Wool-ease Chunky in Walnut and I downloaded the pattern, "Saturday Morning Hoodie" from their website, www.lionbrand.com. It was surprisingly a bit easier than I ever thought it would be. The only daunting part was doing the finishing work on the pockets. I still have to attach the button loops and buttons but was to anxious to wait to post.

Congrats! I'm inspired.
Congrats! I'm inspired. I've bought yarn and have a simple pattern in mind, but haven't given it a try yet. In the meantime, I've discovered a pattern I'd rather do with more expensive yarn, so as you can tell I'm still sort of in "afraid to give it a try" mode while I continue making socks, hats and/or scarves. One of these days.
