Ok so a change of plan

After repeatedly ripping out the sock I was working on and getting more and more discouraged, I decided to try a basic sock to boost my confidence a bit. So today I started working on a pattern I yanked off the internet. this is the result so far.

I am, but I'm not only a bag whore, I'm a premarital sox hussy too. It's only one of my Many Many Many Charms. Besides, how else you think I got a hot young romanian man to marry me? Certainly wasn't my girly figure or my daily workout routine (sit ups in the morning, lay downs at night)

I think the basic pattern is

I think the basic pattern is the way to go. Once you have the foundation down, you can embellish as much as you want. I use the pattern found here and it is so super simple. I made a pair for my mother for Christmas and I'm currently knitting up a basic striped pair in worsted wool for my partner.
Yours is looking great so far, and the second one will be so much easier :)

Thanks :) I can't believe how fast they're knitting up, I actually hated the color of the yarn when I got it, but it's starting to grow on me. The yarn is Knitpicks Essential and the color is Tuscany Multi. The web address for the pattern is

I could easily become a sock addict. I'm loving knitting these up. I'm also finding the 2 circular method way easier than the time I tried with dpn's. If you have never done the 2 circ method there's a great video done by Cat Bordhi on youtube the address for that is

I'm using #2 24" circulars

I'm using #2 24" circulars as the pattern calls for. I'm getting close to the heel now, but I think it's bedtime. tomorrow I plan to attempt the heal. I'm hoping I'm understanding the directions correctly. It's not that bad, I've seen the work you've done, I KNOW you can do this.
