I just got my Knitpicks Harmony Wood Interchangeable Needle Set and I'm such a dork for them I already blogged about them, here http://fiberofmybeing.blogspot.com/ I'm already very pleased with them. So much so that I must knit. Now.
yup I agree, love knit picks options. I'm kind of iffy on the harmony, just because if they split after I leave the states, there's no way for me to get them replaced. But I do adore my metals ones!
have a laptop, but you'd be surprised how few companies are willing to ship to Romania. right now for yarn I have found a whopping total of 4, and the shipping fees are outrageous.
I forgot to mention in my blog that I was also pleased with the needle tip length on these. The needle tips (from join to point) are approximately 4 1/2 inches (11 1/2cm) long with the wooden part (just the wooden "working area" excluding metal join) being 3 1/3 inches (about 8 1/2 cm) long.
You know, I'm about to nominate KnitPicks for the Evil Genius of the Year Award.
I bought the Options metal set about 9 months ago and loved it. Then they released the Harmony needles. I bought one set of those to try and now I love them. I'm already thinking about buying more sizes of those tips.
I've often said that if they started to offer a set of tips in rosewood that I would hock my own mother. I just realized that there's also palm wood, ebony, pernambuco, bloodwood,....
All they'd have to do is release a new line every year or so and I'd be bankrupt since I have no ability to resist.
Same as the Lord of the Rings releases. Original theatrical release....I bought it. Director's Cut....I bought it. Exclusive Director's Cut....I bought it. Extra Special...... You get the picture.
Glad you're enjoying your needles. Welcome to the Dark Side!!!
Some more exotic wood tips would be sure-fire way to reel me in again. I have heard several people state that they would like to see a set in rosewood, they really should consider that if they aren't already. As for hooked? Yeah... I haven't even had mine for 24 hours and I'm already thinking I need the size 13, 15 and 17 needle tips, a set or two of DPNs, and the cable needles they're selling in the line.

I am also a big fan of the KP interchangeable needles. I have a few sizes of the wood and 1 in the metal. These are the best needles I have ever used.
