At the risk of this becoming a YSP
I've gotten past the ribbing, and on round 5 of my pattern. I'm doing the Vine Lace Stocking from Knit Picks. Here's where I'm confused,
CO 74st. the pattern is set up as
Needle 1: (K1, p1) twice, place marker, work vine lace pattern over 33 sts.
Needle 2: continue working vine lace pattern over next 32 sts. place marker (p1, K1) twice, p1.
Work 18 rounds even.
Ok at this point I'm assuming the ribbing is going to run like a seam, I'm assuming up the back of the sock and is to be done on every row (which is how I've been doing it) the problem is when I run into round 5
Round 5: K1, *k1, yo, ssk, k1*, end last rep yo, ssk, k2.
I have counted and counted and even ripped it out 3 times to make sure I'm not messing up but somehow I end up with only 1 stitch left at the end. Am I messing up or is this a mistake in the pattern?
BTW I was going to title this post Am I Crazy Or..... But I already knew the answer to that one.

ok so I figured out the
ok so I figured out the problem, and am moving gleefully on!
for those curious, operator error. I had dropped a stitch, and the stitch marker fell off, I put the marker on after the stitch and it should have been before, I didn't think about it when I was counting, I was looking more for a missing stitch than a misplaced marker. :/

It seems ok to me. You have 74 stitches on the needles. 9 are used for the ribbing, leaving 65 for the pattern.
That pattern row starts k1 (64 left). Each repeat of (k1, yo, ssk, k1) uses 4 stitches, so if you do that 15 times you'll have 4 stitches left. Then (yo, ssk, k2) uses those last 4 stitches.

YOu have 55 stitches in vine lace, correct? it's a 4 stitch repeat, +1 at the begiining. 55 - 1 = 54; 54 /4 = 13 with 2 left over. So something is wierd.....
(though I am confused since you cast on 74 and only give 64 stitches in your line)
