I derived this pattern from a "kendel" lace pattern in a late 1800's pattern book. The only thing I've used it for so far has been the square center of a psuedo-shetland shawl I knit a few years back as a wedding gift (Kendall being the male half of the couple) - but it would make for a nice scarf or stole in my opinion.
word document attached - pdf waiting on photo of a sample; since my only "sample" is in Maine.
