MMario - ambiguity is cultivated, it doesn't happen in a vacuum!
Stunning, as always! Does a project like this have to be knitted in solitude without distractions? I can't imagine the concentration is must take to create such intricacy.
Are you crazy? I would never get anything done if that were so.
the center square took more concentration then anything - I knit that on coffee breaks and lunch hours; the other two sections are a 17 stitch repeat and a 6 stitch repeat - so easily memorized, easily "read" - no problemo.
MMario - ambiguity is cultivated, it doesn't happen in a vacuum!
Now that you put it in those terms, I can relate it to the stranded knitting patterns. Breaking a pattern down to it's smallest repeat section makes it easy to do.
But, I'm still seriously impressed with your work!
I think lace wshould be out in the world where people can enjoy it....not that I wouldn't put a piece in a gallery if I had the chance. But this is going to the boss's wife - who everyone knows is the *real* boss.

Hip boots??? I don't smell anything that funky. The Acronym phrase just kind of coalesced on it's own, my fingers just typed it when it was done. In any event - great job, MMario.
