I used Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted for this hat. The band is knitted back and forth and then stitches are picked up to work the crown. I like the decreasing method used in this hat.

I like the design. How do you find the fit? I'd expect the horizontal band to not have much give. It's very handsome. Howbout a picture of you modeling it? Thanks It fit me when I tried it on. But this hat was a gift for a friend of mine at work. It fit her perfectly though. Maybe I can get a picture of her modeling it.
