Faux Spanish Lace by Mmario

YEAH!! I finished it! I was asked by my LYS owner to do a lace shawl with Regia Bamboo sock yarn. It took me a while to do this (as I ripped it out about 7 times. It helped switching to pointier needles (Knit Pick's Options). This shawl has been in USA, Canada, Japan and Singapore... it's fairly well traveled. Still haven't decided whether or not to fringe it. The slip stitch edge looks pretty good though. It is about 7.5' across the top.

Looks good! BTW - If your LYS wants to print and give away copies of the Faux Spanish Lace Pattern (such as it is) They may feel free to do so. It's a basic lace ground and a basic triangle shape.

I think it would look great with a fringe on the two lower edges.

The white balance is a little off on the pics. There are a couple pics that show more true to color in the Gallery under 'Accessories'

Well, I was feeling a tad

Well, I was feeling a tad down. I gave it to Olga and she said she does not wear shawls....but would use it as a head scarf. In reality, I guess it looked quite good when she showed me.

It may grow on her, who knows. I've had several people tell me they didn't wear shawls, and well, some of them now do, some use their shawls as lap robes, and some just use them for decoration...but they love 'em.
