I don't *really* need more yarn. I do have somewheres around 45 lbs of laceweight waiting to be knit up - but

it's a *sale*

and where else am I going to find prices like that?

on cones.

On the Other hand - it's not like I really **don't need** more yarn. I can always use more yarn.

45 + 8 = 53. What does 53

45 + 8 = 53. What does 53 lbs of yarn translate to in shawls? I'm thinking 3 times the circumfrence of the earth?

Some shawls take only about

Some shawls take only about 4 oz - some take almost a lb - so I would say 53 lbs = roughly 106 shawls.
That should keep me occupied for a while.

I've used up more of the 30

I've used up more of the 30 year's stash I inherited from a relative then I thought I could in about 18 months -- (not that it's gone - but I've used a lot of it up) so I'm confident I'll get good use out of the stash I'm buying.

I thought it was compulsory to buy yarn 'on sale' wherever and whenever you came across it.
