Hello all. My name is Cullen. I have been looking at this website for a couple of months and I have finally officially joined. I would like to show my recent finished scarves before I give them to relatives for Christmas. I am about to buy a camera so I can photograph my work. Any suggestions? What type of camera do other people use? Thanks so much for the help! Happy knitting and purling to all.

It depends on what your
It depends on what your taking your pictures for. I'd go digital either way (film is cool but it takes a fair amount of time and energy to take advantage of film's benefits) and if you're going to want to print them, you'll probably want something with at least 5 megapixels...
On the other hand, if you're simply going to use it for posting your pictures on the web you can go for a cheapo one (I saw one for $20 at Target the other day) with 640 resolution. The pictures aren't that good for printing but they're great for posting things on the web.
Grace and Peace,

Hi Mr. Cullen, Welcome to
Hi Mr. Cullen, Welcome to MWK!! I'm not suggesting this camera and it might not even be available to buy anymore. But since you asked, I use a Sony DSC-P30. It's not mine, it's one that Matt has had for a while and I use it now. But I think it does a pretty good job! I'm happy with it. Again, I've never bought a digital camera and I've never looked into it to compare what's out there.
