Wonderful -- at least you got the problem resolved. If sometime you decide to still look for the lint roller you might look in the pet section of the store.
Try one of those sticky, tape roller kind of lint brushes that has a plastic handle. They work well in most cases. When one sheet gets full of lint on the roller, tear it off and go at it with another rolled sheet. It's worth a try.

I couldn't find one of those rollers today but did find a sweater shaver. It worked perfectly for removing all the lint.

Thanks, I'll pick one up tomorrow. I tried the lint brush I use for my suits but it's the cloth type and doesn't work at all on the knit hat.
