Saturday Morning Hoodie Christmas Present

trybat's picture

So I thought I should start a blog to share the project I'm currently working on with everyone.

Right now I'm working on a Hoodie for my fiance for Christmas. So far I have finished the back and both front panels. I'm working on the sleeves right now. It's pretty easy, mostly stockinette stitch. It's the first sweater I've attempted and so far I'm very happy with the way it's turning out. I'm going to be lengthening the sleeves (he's a big boy, 6'7"), I need to add an extra 4 inches which shouldn't be too bad. Once I figure out how to post pictures I'll post some to show how it's going.

Ok, I know how to post the pictures now :)

This is the back panel:

Here are the front panels complete with unfinished pockets :)
The front panels again.

And now I'm working on the first sleeve, it's about half done:
The first sleeve.
That's Sahara checking out the wool :)

The pattern is called Saturday Morning Hoodie by Lion Brand. I'm using Lion brand wool-ease (I'm still new to wools/yarns) from Michael's. Once we get some free time we are going down to the wool store downtown to check out the goods. I can't wait, I'm so excited!! And I know I'm going to spend way too much :)

I made a hooded sweater called "The wonderful Wallaby" sometime ago. What pattern are you using?

What fiber is your yarn- what color? It sounds like a very ambitious project. Please keep us posted.

I look forward to seeing

I look forward to seeing it...and maybe provide me some inspiration to do something like that. I gotta say....I tend to be chicken!
