First Socks!

I've completed my first pair of socks! They are a Christmas present for my mom. I used Patons Classic Wool Merino "Regency" on size 8 dpns. I've also started a garter stitch scarf for another gift. I tried the stitch on different size needles and settled on size 11's because I like the modern chunkiness of the fabric created. I'm using Patons SWS "Natural Earth" for the scarf. I love how soft this yarn is, however it can split easily, so I do need to keep vigilant. Overall, I'm happy with the way it's turning out.

The scarf looks to be coming out nicely as well. Actually, I've never seen a project come out badly with that yarn, it just seems like incredible stuff to work with.
