Awesome new DPNs!
My New DPNs arrived today! I picked them up on ebay (brand new) They're 8" and every size from 1-13, bamboo. Tell me that's not cool! And the best part, they cost me $22.59 (+S/H) for all of them! And it only took them a few days to show up.
If you're interested, I bought them from Bamboo Needlegirl the item # was 170166492637.
Nice and smooth too.
Have I mentioned I'm excited?!

I got a set of similar ones a while back...did an ebay search... and the company also had great prices on swifts...I did a post about them months cago...

oh nice! and you know, if
oh nice! and you know, if they are a touch too rough, the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is basically an extremely fine sand paper, just dampen one, and run it across them makes them silky smooth, I do this with my clover needles when they get a bit too grabby.
it's not the shaft of the
it's not the shaft of the needles themselves that i have issues with....it the actual points. there are times when i get a really really tight cast on stitch, and forcing the needle tip over and over at the same spot creates a little "groove" that makes my knitting not feel right :( ya'll know what i'm talkin about when the needles don't feel right in the hands
i got pretty much the same
i got pretty much the same thing from Susancraftdesigns or something like that. alls i did was search bamboo dpn lot. my lot included sizes 3-15, 5 needles each. at first i was worried about the quality, but these needles are slightly better quality than clover/takumi brand (no rough points). altogether the lot cost me under $30 including my shipping. it equals about $2.50/set

I started a pair of mittens
I started a pair of mittens last night using some inexpensive metal ones that I found in the bottom of a bag (also with some cheapo walmart yarn that I had sitting around) ... I've already switched over to the new bamboos :-) working nicely!

Totally my thoughts! I was worried that they'd be rough (but figured I could take some sand paper to them for that price) but they're not at all. The grain may be a touch less "fine" than my more expensive sets, but I'm not even certain about that.
