First Scarf Sold!

YugiDean's picture

Well, I finally sold a scarf at that coffeeshop. It was the "Charming Scarf." I think it's funny because it was the easiest to make of all the scarves I made...not to mention it was the cheapest to buy materials for! The yarn was on clearance for a whopping 97cents/skein and it only took two skeins. LOL Talk about profit margin, right?! I kept meaning to post photos of my tags (which I'm really proud of), but forgot, so here they are!!! Also attaching a photo of the scarf that sold, which I don't think I ever got around to posting...modeled by my friend Allison.

That's really impressive!

That's really impressive! I once got a deal to sell my hats on consignment in a local bookstore. I got really excited the next morning.

....I then remembered it was just a dream. Although my roommate got really excited when I told him to, until I told him it had been a dream...

Here's to dreams coming true!!

Wow! That's great. The name, the logo, the tag, the little wing. It's perfect. How did you make the little dragonfly's wing? Is that paper? Congrats. You're an inspiration. Have you considered registering the name with the US Patent and Trademark Office?

YugiDean's picture

I never really thought of

I never really thought of registering it, but I guess it wouldn't hurt. Now all I have to do is figure out how. heh.

You could start here: http://www.uspto.gov/main/trademarks.htm and/or here: http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/trademark/trademark.html. My guess is your public library might have some books too. Good luck!

congratulations! BTW- what is the "wing" made from and how? Or is it purchased?
MMario - ambiguity is cultivated, it doesn't happen in a vacuum!

Oh, I bought those. I'm not

Oh, I bought those. I'm not THAT crafty. :-) They're brass filigree dragonfly wings used primarily for stained glass work. No, I don't do stained glass work. Heh. I wanted to find little wings to just hang off the tags, but when I found those, I thought it would be cooler to sandwich them inside the tag. They came in a set of like, 28, I believe, so that should last me a while since I didn't (and still don't) have that many projects. :-)
