Trying to keep the "Tradition" alive...

Awhile ago, teejtc started a tradition of giving away some free stuff to a random person that expressed interest. (You can read the original post here.) At the time, I said I'd like to work to keep it going.... but then I wanted to wait a bit instead of doing it right on his heels, and I promptly forgot about it.

Well, I've remembered now, and so I'm going to do my bit to show my appreciation to the community here. Moths have been terrible this year, and while I don't think my stash is contaminated, I'd hate to accidentally send a nasty surprise to someone. So, instead, I'll offer up a book: Lavish Lace (Knitting with Hand-Painted Yarns) by Carol Rasmussen Noble and Cheryl Potter.

I'll be perfectly honest that this isn't my favorite lace book. I don't think the pieces look bad, they just don't match my sensibilities. I'd rather pass the book on to someone that will get more use out of it than I will.

So, anyone interested, send me a private message. I'll select someone at random from the ones I receive by the time I wake up Monday, October 8. I'll then post the winner, and contact him (or her, since I don't want to exclude the ladies that visit the site) for an address to send it to. I'll get it mailed off shortly after that.

Only a couple people were

Only a couple people were interested in the book... but even one is enough to make sure it gets more use than it will from me.

So, on flipping a coin for randomization, the book will go to Tim TenClay (teejtc).

Patrick, I'd be very

Patrick, I'd be very interested in the book as I love lace and hand-painted yarns, but you might find the postage to Australia a bit expensive ;-)

Hey, this is a goodwill

Hey, this is a goodwill gesture. I imagine postage will be more than the book is worth, but if it is less than $30 US, I'd still be willing to do it.
