
Just finished knitting Mario's "Queen Anne Lace Shawl" pattern. It's right off the needles so I still have to block it. I started knitting with #8 US needles then switched to #9's around Row 40. Yarn = KnitPicks Palette (Blush). Love the pattern, Mario!

Thanks. I used about 1,500 yards of Palette yarn by KnitPicks. Palette yarns comes in 231 yard balls and I used about 6-1/2 balls. The unblocked shawl is about 50" across.

Wait until you see it blocked! it looks a *lot* more complicated then it actually is to knit (at least in my opinion).
I'm still amazed that the design actually gives you the double spiral effect that you see in the QAL flowers, or the seedheads of sunflowers.
