I just found the yarn of the month club and was wondering if anyone has tried it. I think its a great idea but wanted to know if any of you guys had tried it

they're not really full skeins I don't think... I think it's enough for swatching, etc.
It might be a good idea for someone who does lots of ordering online or doesn't have a LYS near them - but I would rather just go to the store and check out the yarns - rather than have mini skeins mailed to me for my review... I think it'd just add to the "random pile of yarn I can't use" box - which for me would not be such a good thing...
I agree with the rest of you - that it's a great idea but would prefer at least 2 full skeins of a sample yarn - wouldn't that be fun? a pattern, and yarn every month... ooh it'd be exciting to watch the calendar flip!
Yeah I guess the idea is to advertise the yarn, I would also consider it if they sent you enough skeins of one kind for a project....
perhaps a nice gift idea though?
If wishes and buts were clusters and nutes we'd all have a bowl of granola.
I've never heard of them... Kind of a neat idea, except I'd be more likely to give it a try if it was 4 skeins of the same thing, rather than 4 of different ones. That's not quite enough to do much with, IMHO....
