Ok, my first felted project actually came out quite well! I made a simple green handbag for a friend for her birthday on Sunday. In the photo it is still being blocked, hence the plastic target bags hangin' out the top. I wasn't sure if it was going to emerge from the washing machine looking like the fantastic example in the picture or like a wad of toxic cat hairballs. I do have to say that I am thrilled with the outcome. She will also be pleased... seeing as I was planning on giving it to her regardless of how catastrophic I expected my first felting attempt to be. Felting is loads of fun, quite addicting really... hmm... another addiction.
