From what I have researched on the web, 420 is actually a Canadian expression. According to what I have read and participated in, in years gone by, a true smoker will get up at 4:20 a.m. and start the day. Now that I have a little one I have to stay clean as a whistle to set an example. I'm sure when I am in a nursing home I will ask my son to bring me my stash, but until then I leave it for others to enjoy! I guess we could all knit with Hemp to participate in the festivities!
i don't toke it up... or anything else pertaining to that matter... all i do is drink occasionally... but i thought someone out there might... so i was just trying to wish them all the best on their favorite day... and as far as people understanding what it means... from what i've read on the internet... this is mainly an american observance... i can't find any other place in the world that celebrates it... therefore as i've already heard people don't even know what i'm talking about... sorry for any confusion... just read all the comments to understand... or google it...
quickly, bring me a beaker of wine, so that i may wet my mind and say something clever.

it's a nod to pot smokers everywhere - not sure what it has to do with knitting - and while I can admire the physique of a young nearly naked boy, I was suprised to find one on here! - have at it, my boy, if you must - but I choose to steer clear of pot... it's icky, smells, and would definately take from the money I use to buy yarn for my stash of choice!

OK - call me thick but I
OK - call me thick but I don't know what this means. Explanation, anyone?
okay - I now feel officially
okay - I now feel officially "old"
had to look this up as the only connotation I could think of was Columbine - and I was pretty sure that wasn't an occasion to "celebrate"
MMario - I don't live in the 21st Century - but I sometimes play a character who does.
