MWK and html

a lot fo online forums do not allow html tags (or don't recognize them or don't process them - however you want to say it). MWK does. at least for links, italics, bold, underline, strikeout -- the basic stuff.

Which I find FANTASTIC! It's a lot easier for me to type the tags in as I go then have to hightlight and click - or remember that I have to use different brackets -- and differrent code for links, etc.

There are all sorts of references on html out there. I don't make any claim that this is the best, but a couple seconds of searching found this tutorial:

HTML Tutorial

There is a lot more detail than you'll need to do things here. After you understand the basics of marking, the most important thing would be page on html text formatting.

I agree, it makes things

I agree, it makes things much faster than jumping thru the "tag wizard" hoops that many of sites use.
