I'm making two pairs of fingerless gloves right now. The absolute best resource I've found for them is a book called The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns by Ann Budd. They're simple, plain, easy to follow and each pattern has a grid for different sizes and guages. It's an awesome book.
Hey Chris...
Go to Knitty.com and go to tha arcive section at the top. Look for the summer 06 issue, several patterns there. Was thinking about the Knuckles pair myself.

Knit away, knit away
Hey you, the current Interweave Holiday Knits issue has a few fingerless glove patterns that might work. It's a fun issue anyway. Good luck in your search.
I did a pair of gauntlet cuff mittens that would fit a man quite nicely. I'm sorry I can't be of much help providing the pattern right now as I am at work, but when I get home tonight I will find it and scan it for you.
