Just finished an Elizabeth Zimmermann Baby Surprise Jacket from left over Briggs and Little wool. It was fun to do and is almost instant gratification. Still have to put buttons on it.

Truly wonderful! As you say, truly simplistic in its approach, and almost completely mindless knitting. Very easy project to do, and you can use up all your leftovers. The design is ingenious, and you can't really go wrong with it.

I've made a couple, and found they do fit well too. I haven't put any collar on them, but you can also do them with a hood. EZ also has an adult version as well, and I'm thinking I'd like to make one for myself too.

Lucky kid that gets this!
