As the medically minded of the members here on Men Who Knit know, the answer to the question, "How have you been?"
tells a great deal. The query offers a neutral, safe and simple landing spot for an answer. All too often, though, the answer can be a direct social lie.
"I an fine. Thanks for asking!"
Embedded speech is a hallmark of human intercourse. So to my online friends, acquaintances and fellow fiberphiles, I offer my direct, discreet, discrete and honest unpacking of my time away.
Fracked up, Insecure, Neurotic and Emotional. F.I.N.E.
What could be so distinct, more human and less dishonest?
Glad to be here. Been doing a lot, can't wait to catch up with you all.
"So, how are you?"

Great to see you, too, Michael. I have moved from your nabe' and joined the smug Park Slopers. The other side of the river has more knitting groups per cubic centimeter than I knew was possible. Feels good!

Well if I weren't nauseas I would be after wafting my offal. There's a funny story there but it's better in person regarding wafting.

Have never seen an axolotl here but many garden variety "lagartijas" sun themselves on my patio. Still knitting a pair of socks every month and have been thinking of a Fair Isle Sweater and of course, thought of you. Glad you are back as you (and all the others) inspire me. Take care, Mark.
