S&MMM is done. As frustrating as it was at times due to charts seeming like they would never end, I'm a little sad to say it's done. This was a wonderful little shawl to knit up. It was Merope from Romi Hill. I downloaded it from Ravelry with the rest of the book (you can get it ether singly or in the book but so far the other items in the book have been just as enjoyable to knit).
After finally finishing the knit on edging I got her blocked up and got some pictures of her today before I give her to one of my coworkers that looks great in these colors. When I was about half way done I realized who it was for. I think she'll love it.
I also sat up and finished the silk hankies I've had on the wheel last night. I have the blisters to prove it. Who knew something that feels so luscious and soft could tear your hands up so bad and test your temper non stop?

Thank you very much. How could I not share something that I felt came out so nicely. Luckily the person it was given to adores it so she can stay on the gift list.
Very lovely products,
Very lovely products, Quinton. I didn't look too closely at the shawl as I couldn't hijack it from the others last night, but I definitely admired it from afar.

Thank you. This yarn is one of those that drastically changes color in it's brown areas depending in the type of light. Under indoor lighting or overcast day the brown appears much darker.

Have you tried spinning just bombyx silk? RH Lindsay has a great price on it although a pound might last you a couple of years. It is easier than spinning silk hankies and a cinch to dye. The colors you have in the photo are great.
