Annie's tank

Well my first venture into womens couture is finally complete. It was a nice easy knit - one of those really relaxing projects. This is for my friend Annie for her b-day the end of November. Hopefully she'll like it and let me take a few shots of her in it. I wish her birthday weren't so far off. It was knit in Classic Elite's Firefly, size 3 needles.

Very nice. Just a warning,

Very nice. Just a warning, though: A knitter at one of the LYS said that her Firefly stretched a bit when she wore it. Otherwise, he really liked how it turned out.

I've used it for a sweater

I've used it for a sweater vest for Ralf and it seems to be OK. I little stretching will not hurt this garment, it's not meant to be form fitting, I'm hoping it will drape nicely off the bosom then hang loosely around the waist. This is certainly not I fiber I would use for socks or anything that requires form memory.

I talked to the knitter last

I talked to the knitter last night and she said her top stretched pretty severely after she washed it. Still, you have used it before without any problems so it may be alright in this instance, too. I guess it's just another one of those things that happen in knitting.

Still a great looking item, and I'm sure she'll enjoy it.

I wish her birthday weren't

I wish her birthday weren't so far off too. Maybe in the meantime you can knit her a few hats to go with it, now that you've got that new hat gizmo. Beautiful job (as usual). You've definitely got a gift...

Thanks Tom! I think that's what I'll call my new hat form, Gizmo.
