Hi everyone,
I want to share with you with you all the great time this weekend. I had the pleasure of going up to Cleveland to the RiverColors yarn shop take a clas with Stephanie Pearle-McPhee on knitting with Mawata or silk hankies. We learned every thing from how the silk worms are raised to the process of reeling the silk and making the hankies. It was a very good class and Stephanie was a great teacher. Here are a few pics I was able to snap during and after the class.

That's way cool! I totally love the way she thinks about knitting. I have her book "Knitting Rules" and it's amazing. I'll bet she's very entertaining.

Yes, she was super cool! I can now say I've met a NY Times best selling author and a knitting celebrity. She was very entertaining and informative. She had a cold, so I'm sure she wasn't as lively as she usually is but she was still great and all the same.
Looks like great fun! I
Looks like great fun! I think River Colors was the shop I visited when I was in Cleveland a couple years ago. Lovely shop, with a great space for classes and workshops. Your rainbow ruffle shawl design is gorgeous!
Thanks Aaron! I'm glad you
Thanks Aaron! I'm glad you like the design. Yes the River Colors yarn shop was great. All the employees were very nice and she had a great selection of yarn. It's definitely worth a stop if anyone ever is in the Cleveland area.
Lucky man.
