Here you have the WIP at 600 sts on use 10 , 6mm. The pattern is very similar to the Sun Bag, but a bit more stitches in it. There are still about 36 rounds to go and the garter stitch border done vertically.
That red center really makes this shawl go "POP"! But I love the way the gray striping helps tone it down in the midsection. Great knitting, yet again, Andy.
It's actually a blanket, but you can definitely make into a shawl if you use fingering weight yarn, I don't see why you could not. It will be as tall as me or more when I block it, I am 65" tall. I think I will steam block it.
Sorry about that. I once knit a Pi Shawl that was so huge my friend used it as a bedspread on her queen-sized bed. That was in worsted weight yarn on size 10 needles. Took forever to get around the last section per round. But it was gorgeous.
