Some FO's and items to be started

I made another roar hat this week for a co-workers kid because I simply have that much left over yarn from two skeins of the Berroco Vintage. Nice stuff, I do say, better then Encore.I also tore out the lap blanket I was making for work because it looked like some hideous 1972 afghan and re-knit it into this that I finished and blocked this morning.

Folded in quarters.

I'm going to call it the arrow head blanket. And I get to call it such things because I completely made it up out of my head (Well, you really can call items you knit no matter who wrote the pattern whatever you want. I do, I just try to give the designer credit somewhere for it.) I may or may not actually right the darn thing out. Haven't decided yet.

And I have the yarn prepped for lap blanket number 2.

Sage in the Sweet Woodruff

But this alas, is as far as I've gotten. The idea now is to again do a center out but kind of a modified checkerboard using stockinette, reverse stockinette, and seed stitch so it looks something like one of those parquet wood floors. Just a thought, we'll see what the yarn says to me.

Have a great week guys,
Q.

Very lovely things, Q. That

Very lovely things, Q. That lap piece is a simple enough design that it should work quite well as just a charted design. You could even use it as a "first- time, solo" chart project. [Does that make sense?] Looking forward to seeing what the yarn decides to become.

I really like the arrowhead

I really like the arrowhead design. Please DO write it down. I'd like to have it in my collection of patterns.

You'll be glad to know, it's

You'll be glad to know, it's begun. As my usual the chart was a breeze, it's that dang writing out of the directions, and to be honest, I may just leave it as a charted design.

I think writing things down

I think writing things down in the form of text is good, but it's hard to do...it just takes so long and mistakes are easy to make. Keep plugging away.
