Finally got completed.
And I even have a draft of the pattern all done! That's actually been the true hang up. Sorry.
Superb, Q! I am so glad to see that the blasted chart didn't defeat you. That is a really great design.
Thanks Joe. The chart was easy, it was the writing out what it meant that I wanted to stab a needle in my eye. Grrr. But it's almost complete. Just a couple little things.
check out "Intwined Studio"...it charts and writes at the same time...and if you edit either part it automatically fixes the other...
I love it!!!
You mean there's something than redrawing all my stuff by hand Bill?!? And I've been doing it the hard way all this time. Thanks, I will definitely check it out since I have another idea flopping around in my head that I think is going to want to be put down on paper here soon.
They have a ravelry group...and I think the program is about $43.
I've had it a few years...
Wow, Bill...that's great news. And I apologize, Q...I knew it was the written part that was proving difficult and forgot to give blame to that rather than the chart. The chart was the good part - even I could see that. Looking forward to seeing other ideas come about.
Joe, it's a wonderful program!
I haven't begun to use most of it...but I love it for making charts...then I copy them into photoshop and colour them...
I too have it - well worth the money!
duh...just saw the link for the pattern...thanks!
Don't you hate that? And there's no way to delete your previous posting. I myself have wanted to delete several. As for the pattern, I plan on revamping the finishing section and when the intended recipient gets it, I will get a photo for the top of the pattern and re-post it here. I think I'm also going to post it to my ravelry account.
Have a great weekend.
wow - beautiful! How can we get a copy of the pattern - love it!
Beautiful color yarn! What's it going to be?
The completed item is very nice, what is it exactly? Like a neck warmer?
It's a shawl or mantle that is a bit poncho like. Ilhiker had posted a question regarding a lion brand pattern that although I didn't like their pattern, the shape was intriguing so I played with it and came up with this. Basically you pull it over your head, it sits on your shoulders and drapes across your front and keeps you a bit more cozy.
Magical. And thanks for the pattern.
Thank you gentlemen, and hopefully I will have a more finished one up in the near future. Including pictures of the recipient wearing her Kappe.
Very nice... and elegant !
