Tonight I bound off my second cowl. This one is to be a Christmas present. I used the same pattern I used with the first cowl I completed a week or so ago, the "Purl Ridge Scarf" cowl pattern by Stephen West. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/purl-ridge-scarf
Again I used Noro Kureyon yarn but in a orangey, rust, brown colorway. I still haven't photographed the first cowl. So maybe I can photograph both cowls at the same time. I have to say, the Noro Kureyon yarn's color is "made" for this pattern as the bands of color make wonderful stripes in the scarf.
Next Project: The "Climb and Swirl Cowl (to be a Christmas present)

The purl ridge scarf is one
The purl ridge scarf is one of my favourites, I like most of Stephen's designs.
Both of these Cowl patterns
Both of these Cowl patterns are great. Especially the Climb and Swirl. Stephen West is one of my idols. I have quite a few of his patterns. I am working on his Purl ridge Cowl right now as a Christmas Gift.

I'm going to knit the Climb
I'm going to knit the Climb and Swirl with a strand of Lana Vida "Hannah" and a strand of Rowan "Kidsilk Haze". Should be luscious.
The Purl Ridge Cowl makes a perfect Christmas gift project since it's such an easy knit that looks great when finished.
Love the cowl - but more
