I do believe this project is progressing nicely. I hope to have it done by Christmas. Need it for a present. And thanks Jim for kick starting the hood part for me.

That is very nice indeed. I have to dig out the pattern I have for a cap that uses a band of cables for the headband, picking up the crown stitches to finish it off. Made it for a friend many years ago and it was veery well received. Thanks for the inspiration to knit another one.
