Wow, Alan, how great is that? I've been a devoted fan since the first St. Germain book was released. What made me happy was when she restarted the series and I discovered that, unlike some writers, the writing was of the same caliber as the first novels or better. Even the corollary series are quite good and stand on their own. Definitely not a case of "Time to crank out another one" that you find so often anymore. IMHO There are a few of the books that I've not been able to read but that will slowly be remedied. However, I have the pre-hiatus collection in my personal library. Hhhmmmmm...maybe it is time to begin them anew.
Most impressive. I was always fascinated that the Romulans and Vulcans were kindred species. I have no doubt Crafty Andy will be working on this, even though his main interest is Klingon culture.
No finished pattern yet - the combination of the lace design and the shaping should give a feathery-ish silohuete (spelling?) within a semi-spaceship shaped shawl/shawlette
see 'Uhura' (lots of pics on Ravelry) for the shape of the shawl - the same shaping is used for Bird of Prey
I always look at your designs with reverence Mario! Is it some sort of ship? Andy may have a stroke if he reads this, but I don't think I've ever watched a full episode of Star Trek—not that I'm knockin' it! I'm a Twilighter and get made fun of ALOT for that! (oh...and just for the record, I'm Team Edward. Just sayin'.)
Spent last January in Forks, WA...stayed in the Twilight family home...I had Edward's room!
(I was taking a spinning class from Judith MacKenzie who lives in Forks)
Mill and others...I promise not to hold it against you that you are a Twilight fan. Haven't read the series [and probably won't] but Chelsea Quinn Yarbro's Comte de St. Germain is my vampiric hero.
First I have to admit, the dyslexia got the better of me and I read from the posting that is was an example of Romanian folk handicraft. Then I opened the pattern and actually read Romulan. Some people. So, is there a picture of the finished product on the pattern that my computers just aren't viewing properly?
I like the look of the charts and have a trecky friend that I think would love it. Thanks for sharing with us Sir.
