surprise announcement

OK Boys,

Its confirmed now - we are moving to Seattle for my job. Still have the dramas of trying to get my partner into the country (Very frustrating when the city and the company reconise your relationship but the federal government treats you like strangers).

Anyway VERY excited and we hope to be there soon.

Seattle is truly wonderful

Seattle is truly wonderful and just about our most liberal region so hopefully you'll get to deal with Feds from there. Congrats on the move but you better try and pack up some sunshine from down under because Seattle doesn't get much. Also, if you stand still too long moss will grow on your north side.

Congrats on the move. I'm sorry that you are having to deal with the bureaucratic hassles, though. It truly is ridiculous but that's just more of the silliness called American politics. Hope everything gets worked out and you transition smoothly.

It's ridiculous that the feds won't acknowledge your relationship.
We are lucky in Canada - and now in NY State... but it really means nothing until we can cross borders openly and fairly...

Congratulations, though. Seattle is a beautiful city.
