I was back visiting my brother and his family in Omaha over the 4th of July holiday and decided to make him an executive style scarf for Christmas this year. I want to make it from fiber that is grown locally to him, so off I went to the nearest Alpaca farm (Alpacas of the heartland) and was able to purchase these beautiful sport weight yarns. I've scoured over the net looking for something appropriate to knit with little luck....I would like the scarf to be executive style (i.e., one that he would wear under his dress coat). Any suggestions? The yarn is sport weight.

I think the Henry pattern is nice too. Mareika is a German born woman who actually lives in Nashville now, a faily close acquaintance of mine and a viscious knitter. I want to make this scarf, too.

I have made these as special gifts for friends (I really don't like knitting scarves). They have some interest to them and turned out nicely.
