After knitting blanket after blanket ive decided to start knitting myself a few vests.
Here's one i started a few days ago. The Back done, half way through the front. The plan is to finish it within the week. I'm on track which I'm really happy about.
So what to do next? I want to do a vest similar to this pattern. Anyone know where i can find the pattern?

Cool! I hadn't even thought of vests...it might be the perfect "bridge" project to do before I get up my courage to try a real sweater. With sleeves and stuff. ;)

Beautiful vest. If you can
Beautiful vest. If you can find Fair Isle Knitting by Sheila MacGregor you will find thousands of fair isle patterns. You can choose your own colours or follow the colours in the photo. Check out Jamieson and Smith Wool Brokers in the Shetland Islands for traditional wool.

I second that. Her book was sitting in my wish list on amazon for about a year until i finally broke down and got it. It just came a couple weeks ago. It is a great resource for patterns, as well as a lot of background into the history and tradition of fair isle knitting. She doesn't have any stitch-by-stitch patterns, but has pretty clear explanations of how to make your own garment to fit any size.
Keep up the good work!

Have to agree with Brent.
Have to agree with Brent. It's awesome. It is exactly and precisely the kind of thing I'd like for myself. Please continue to post about this as it progresses. Extremely well done. I really, really like it.
