Knitters block

steve kadel's picture

I have run into a complete halt. I have been knitting everyday for years and since my last finished project I can't seem to pick up new or wip. Even as retreat nears, I can't find my knit mojo. Is there a pill I can take

KeninMaine - very wise

KeninMaine - very wise words! And the nice thing about knitting is that you can pick it back up in a month or two and it will be just like you left it. Unlike gardens... :/

I've gone through that

I've gone through that myself, sometimes for months on end. It's not that I've lost my love of knitting, just temporarily didn't feel the pull or desire to do it. But like the others have said, it'll come back around. Don't try to force it. Maybe the universe is telling you to take a little break to enjoy something else. And then when you realize it's time to pick up your needles again you'll feel like you've come home!

Sometimes you just have to

Sometimes you just have to recharge the batteries and take a break. If nothing else, maybe the retreat will have a class that will give you a jumpstart on something. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Crafty Andy has it

Crafty Andy has it right-----do something else or a while----crochet----tat----or spin----or learn to spin----nothing like a few skeins of hand-spun yarn to recharge the mojo. bake cookies for everyone play the piano--re-read your favorite books and don't worry----the knitting part of the great wheel will turn your way again!!!
